The Icelandic Association of Chicago

2007 Icelandic Open

The Greater Chicago Icelandic Open

The Greater Chicago Icelandic Open will be held for the third time on Sunday July 29th at 2PM at the same course as last year, Indian Boundary. This event is a lot of fun even if I say so myself :-) So, if you have a chance, come on out and play with us. Everyone can play since this is the Texas Scramble format, no stress. Texas Scramble, means teams of two players and we'll find you a team mate if you don't have one.

Everyone hits from the same place and picks the better shot/putt and hits from there. We have a trophy for 1st place and medals for 1st, 2nd, and third. Plus we have a new great sponsor, Golfsmith, who's giving us prizes for the Longest Drive, Closest to the pin, Longest putt, and Straightest Drive. We also have a one hour lesson from a PGA golf pro. After we play we'll have food and drinks and, of course, the award ceremony. We have spots for 24 players so sign up ASAP. $35 per person including a cart, which is a great deal. Make the check out to The Icelandic Association of Chicago and mail it to Larry Shaw our treasurer at
147 N. Buckingham Drive,
Sugar Grove, IL 60554

Play well,

Einar Steinsson
